Meanwhile, the Dutch company Gebroeders H & JJ Kamps (later called Dutch-Flame Production & Trading B.V.) was founded by the brothers Henk and Jan Kamps in 1978. They started out producing several products, like chopped firewood, party lights and garden torches.

In 2006 a management buy-out took place. The firelighter division of Tiger Tim was taken over by the management and Dutch-Flame B.V. After a couple of years and due to acquisitions of different firelighter factories, we have chosen the new commercial name called Flame Group.

The start of the automatization program, also indicates the start of optimizing our production processes. Old production line’s been swiftly decommissioned and installation of new line’s commenced on a yearly base. These changes are all implemented to work more efficient, produce more and with a much higher output.

Asimportant as the milestone of the management buy-out in 2006, is also theacquisition of companies such as RA Davies and Euroliters Ltd are now gatheredunder the current name Flame Group.   

This step will eventually enable us to store the goods in the EU after the Brexit.

Forthe Tiger Tim facility we have started the process of replacing the roofing.

As the solar panels do have moments that there is more energy generated than we use, we have made the decision to place batteries on our Dutch Flame site. This enables us to utilize the unused solar power in het next day production and/or re-charge against night rate's, for use during the expensive electricity rates.
